Brookfield Zoo and Stephanie

Most people cannot say that they have had a friend, their best friend, since infancy. I can. I'm not saying that I don't have people that I would consider my best friends in adulthood. I am blessed to have several of them. But what I am saying, is that most people don't grow up with someone, and then continue their friendship through adulthood. Stephanie Hopperton, now known as Stephanie Perry, is that rare type of friend. Stephanie is more like a sister to me than just a friend. I have those fun and silly memories with her that most people have with their siblings growing up. Then our friendship was faced with a challenge. I moved about an hour away in fifth grade. However, even through junior high and high school, we need remained friends from afar. When we would be able to connect, it was like no time had passed. We are still friends today. The best part is, people still stop us and ask us if we are sisters or cousins.
Recently, we had a chance to go to the Brookfield zoo together with our kids.
