Elliott turns 4

President's Day is a great day to have a birthday nearby. Brooks and I get off work, but our children still have school! :) Thank you, Mr. Presidents, for this day off. To you I owe this blog posting. :)

Elliott really likes birthdays, especially his own! He was singing along as we sang "Happy Birthday" to him. :)

Elliott's 4th birthday cake. He requested chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. A new friend gave me the idea for the oreo crumbles for the construction vehicles to dig in. The candles are supposed to be in the "shape" of a 4, but it's upside down to all but Elliott and Daddy.

Erin doesn't want to try most sweets, but she likes cake!

Now that Erin knows what to do with the paper on the packages, she wanted to help Elliott out! He was so kind to help her at Christmas this past year. :)

Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Locke for the Thomas Railroad Drawbridge and neon green/yellow slinky! They both were a big hit by more than just one. He is still enjoying eating the candy off of the "gingerbread train" you built for him. I look forward to seeing him in the Easter suit as well!

Thank you Nana and Grampa for the soccer goal. That will be so much fun with his soccer ball this spring, or our unseasonably warm winter days.

Thank you to Papa Zoo and Grandma Judy for the chocolate and the "savings bond." We appreciate your help getting ready for college!

Thanks to Aunt Heidi for the note and picture in the mail--Elliott LOVES getting mail! The pic is on the fridge.

Thanks to Aunt Gail and Lauren for the fun rocket toy and outside construction vehicle toys! Elliott loves playing in the sandbox and the dirt outside with his trucks!
