Excavation Escape

Our patio before demolition.

While the workers tear out our old ( the original, probably never sealed!) driveway and sidewalks, as well as jackhammer our bohemuth monolith back porch, we are at the park. Elliott and Erin and I enjoyed some Wendy's for lunch and now are playing at a local park district park that we don't visit very often due to its distance from our house. It was hard to pull the kids from the construction excitement, but after bribing them with milkshakes for good behavior today, I convinced them to get in the car.

Here is a great view of Andy's 4 teeth!

Smiley Garrett!

Here is our new view.

Our temporary step for the back door. :)

Elliott is in his element, and Erin joined him later in the afternoon.

Our driveway, awaiting inspection before new asphalt. Also, in the back next to the house, our new sidewalk is framed and awaiting inspection prior to receiving cement. No garage parking for this minivan for a while!
